Nisqually Rapid Geodetic Reponse

Blyn Mountain Site

The Blyn Mountain site is located about on the northeastern corner of the Olympic Peninsula, east of Sequim, Washington. The Bonneville Power Administration provided permission to install a continously operating site on Blyn Mountain.

With help from UNAVCO, we installed a smaller, hand-drilled geodetic monument, known as the short, drilled-braced geodetic monument. The monument design is perfect for rapid installations of continuous GPS sites. Blyn is part of a radio telemetry subnetwork that feeds into the Pierce College hub. We are using KTWB as a repeater. Click here to see a map of the subnetwork.
